We are having a Quarter Auction Fundraiser on Aug 10th at 2p at the Dover Twnship Building on Davidsburg Rd, Dover, PA
This fundraising event will be to benefit Adam Wertz and the Adam Lives fund.
Adam is a 21 yo young man that has had kidney troubles since birth. A little over 2 years ago, he was placed on the list for a kidney transplant and shortly after, started dialysis, which he continues today, to stay alive while waiting on a transplant.
The wait for a cadaver donor is on avg. 4yrs, and the quickest way to get transplanted is to find someone willing to be a living donor(you can live perfectly fine with just one kidney, forever). Adam has 2 potential donors, with jobs that will give them the time off work, but not pay them, so we decided to start a fund, Adam Lives, to pay the month salary of a person, who becomes a living donor and gives a normal life to someone in need.
There is no reason that someone should wait for a transplant if the only thing needed is $2000-$2500.
Come to the Quarter Auction and help Adam and hopefully others like him, that could have the life saving transplant they need for such a small amount of money.
Tickets for the event will be $3, which includes a bidding paddle to get started. Purchase your ticket in advance and get 2 bidding paddles and an extra door prize ticket at the door. Additional bidding paddles will be available for just $1 each. We will have over 80 brand new items up for bid, as well as two charity auctions, raffles, door prizes and a chinese auction.
Concessions are available.
