Our client a leading snack manufacturer is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift. This is a contract-hire with great benefits at time of conversion.

This position will be in charge for all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding and knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems related to food manufacturing. Needs to be well-versed in all maintenance best practices, processes and health and safety regulations related to food production. The candidate will be a team-focused individual who is passionate and driven to deliver best in class performance and continuously improve what and how we do our work to ensure business success. The individual is a role model for teamwork and easily works cross functionally. This individual will be responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to the following.
Hands on maintenance execution supporting 3rd shift production needs.
Follow PM schedules, maintenance procedures and ensures comprehensive and timely implementation
Carries out inspections of the facilities to proactively identify and resolve issues
Maintains electronic, electrical and mechanical systems of the company to ensure functionality
Handle relationships with contractors and service providers
Keeps maintenance logs and reports on daily activities
Diagnoses breakdown problems, proposes sustainable solutions to prevent in the future
Positively and effectively deals with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
Other duties as required or assigned
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role -Experience with high-speed packaging machinery, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs (definite plus)
Must have strong communication skills.
Must be a team player, willing to work in a growing, demanding and fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately handle out-of-the-ordinary issues with a sense of urgency.
Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects.
Must be able to work in a 40 degree work environment based on department
Must be able to work in a 70 degree work environment based on department
Must be able to withstand wearing a mask the entire shift and comply with additional COVID-19 protocols
Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable
Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred
