This is an emulated Commodore 64 in a case very reminiscent of the original "breadbin" Commodore 64 computer. There is no cartridge slot, no user port, no serial/video ports - but the keyboard is functional and has the same layout as the original. There are three standard USB ports for attaching controllers and USB thumb drives for additional software storage. There is a built-in library on the device itself.
What do you get?
One TheC64 Maxi in original box with original joystick and connection cables (it connects to a TV via HDMI) and power adapter. It was originally imported from the UK but is completely compatible with US power and video specs.
A Commodore-branded "TrueBlue" USB thumb drive with some additional software on it.
Also included is an HDMI to Active VGA adapter with audio pinout if you want to connect it to a VGA CRT/older LCD monitor without HDMI input and speaker source. I'm also willing to toss in a 22-inch Acer LCD widescreen monitor and a Cambridge Soundworks Oontz Angle 3 wireless Bluetooth speaker (old version, probably 8 years old or so) for sound playback. It has a 3.5mm audio in that works with the VGA adapter, and I'll toss in a Micro USB power adapter if the batteries conk out.
Why am I selling?
Because I got it home, played around with it for an hour or so, and lost interest. I can emulate it on my desktop PC and I find the accurate physical keyboard layout to be (1) not as important as I thought and (2) hard to unlearn standard IBM PC style QWERTY.
Asking Price:
I'm asking $100. I paid around $180 on eBay about six months ago with a 128GB thumb drive. I'm keeping that and figured I'd prefer a quick sale to a higher return.
