Site Foreman manages daily excavating, grading, and utility operations, leading crews of 3-6 members and sub-contractors to ensure high-quality, safe, and accurate site activities. They coordinate equipment, material delivery, and scheduling, often operating machinery while supervising, mentoring staff, and liaising with project managers.
Essential Job Functions/Requirements:
• Directs, trains, and coaches personnel to maintain high-quality workmanship, teamwork, productivity. resolve conflicts and
maintain productivity.
• Supervises daily activities
• Schedules equipment, trucking, and material deliveries, ensuring projects stay on timeline.
• Enforces safety policies and company protocols, ensuring a secure, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Completes daily reports, including crew hours, material quantities, equipment usage and completed quantities
• Operates equipment when needed.
• Communicate with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and clients to align on project plans and specifications
• Promotes a TEAM approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
• Strong ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity. Will be responsible for running 3 to 6 person crew to
complete site excavation needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills to instruct crews and report to management.
• Ability to resolve on-site issues related to staffing, materials, or site condition
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Requires at 2 years of demonstrated Foreman leadership in addition to 5 years overall site work experience
• Usage of GPS grade controls and rover
• Able to read blueprints and specs
• Able to shoot elevation grades
• Understanding in site excavation, grading, foundations, utility such as water, storm, and sewer
• Understanding of asphalt paving, paving materials, drainage, and grade specifications.
• Strong coaching, mentorship, and team-building skills, with an emphasis on SAFE, efficient operations.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions, near loud machinery, and perform strenuous tasks like lifting, bending,
and walking on uneven terrain.
Work Environment
• Site Foreman work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure
to dust and asphalt.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including hot surfaces and uneven terrain.
